I am so sorry for the loss of you father please expect my condolences. Alfred had a special place in my heart from the time I met him. Unfortunately in the last few years I had not seen him that often. When we got together as family he always made me feel so very special. I well gratley miss him and the talks we use to have for one another. May his name be a blessing and I consider myself lucky that I got to know him on a personal level.

    Dear Mrs Bader and family,
I had the pleasure of interviewing Alfred a couple of times. Once, for my doctoral thesis on the interned refugees in Canada when he was on a short visit to Toronto in the late 1970’s, and just a few years back when I was visiting Milwaukee. The second time was for the exhibit at the Vancouver Holocaust Centre, which became enemyaliens.ca. I will already remember his graciousness towards me in sharing his experiences as a Jewish refugee in Canadian internment. Dr Bader lived a truly remarkable life, and repaid all those who showed him kindness in the dark years with enviable generosity. He was truly a great man. My sincere condolences to all of you.
