I wanted to express my feelings about Freda and decided to share a letter I wrote to her recently. I know there are many others that feel the lost of her passing and understand the good fortune of knowing Freda.
    Dear Freda,

It is a good opportunity for me to write you a letter and express some of the feelings I have about you. Too often I don’t say what I am thinking because tears come easy for me when I speak from the heart. I think you must know that I think you are an amazing women.

Sometimes I find myself watching you and how you interact with your friends and family. Like at Lori’s party a few months ago. You are so comfortable expressing your interest and love. You ask questions about their life with genuine interest.

You have a real joy about life. You are comfortable laughing at yourself with an understand and acceptance that being fallible is part of being human.

I love the way your enjoy being with others and laughing at the silly things we say and do. What comes to mind is the time you were here in Key West with Lori. From fixing dinner in the kitchen together to picking some guy up to catch up with his friends. You enjoy it all. Never is there a hint of judgement.

That beautiful way of living by the example a gift I see you have passed to Lori. I feel so lucky to have you and her in my life, I must have done something right to have that.

Well I have to admit I am crying but with joy. So I think I better finish up. Lots of love sweetheart. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

    All my love,

My sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, all the vital roles she played in your lives. The love of a mother runs deeper than anyone can imagine and longer than the time we have with her. Wishing you peace and love as you mourn her loss.
    With empathy,

My condolences at the loss of your beloved mother

She was a great lady. She shared several of her famous recipes with me. I bake them every holiday. I have passed them down to my daughter and granddaughters. We call them “Freda’s Cookies”

She will be missed….by so many….
