Robert John Zokan

Robert John Zokan was a beloved husband, father. grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He served with great pride in the Korean War and died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, October 19th, 2018. Born in Milwaukee on December 29, 1930, to Anna and Blaise Zokan, Robert was the youngest of 10 children. He married Annette Timmerman on August 20, 1960. Robert and Annette went on to have three sons, Barry, Jerome and James. He was also a golf enthusiast and was actively involved in the Lincoln Park Senior Golf League.

Robert is survived by his sister, Dorothy MacDonald; his sons, Barry (Mary), Jerome and James (significant other Krista Oberlindacher) Zokan; grandsons, Mitchell and Bennett Zokan; nephew, Neal (Valerie Braun) Zokan; brother and sister in-law, Harold (Kris) Timmerman, Jr. along with many other loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annette; her parents, Harold and Jeanette Timmerman; and his siblings, Olga, Tetia, Ann, Frances, Frank, Albert, Mary, Leo and William.

Funeral services will be held at St. Monica Parish where Robert was a long-time member, 5681 North Santa Monica Boulevard, Whitefish Bay, WI on Monday, October 29th at 5:00 PM with visitation beginning at 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Milwaukee VA Fisher House at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, 5000 West National Avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53214.
