Shirley Levy

Shirley Levy

From Omaha to the University of Missouri, to New York, to Chicago, where she met the love of her life. To Milwaukee, his hometown.

Dearest Shirley. Beloved wife of Earl. Beloved mother of Larry, Jane, and Sam. Beloved grandmother of Barrett and Jaxon.

Professional highlights. Liaison between Milwaukee Bucks/Milwaukee Brewers and the sales department Channel 18. Special projects coordinator, office of the CEO, Manpower corporate headquarters. Then, on to the international department at Manpower.

As a volunteer. St. Francis Children’s Center, The Guest House, The Shorewood Senior Center, The WI Conservatory of Music.

She traveled the world. From Beijing to Paris. From Sydney to Milan. Throughout her rich and wonderful life, it was the friendships she made that she cherished the most. Especially her dear bridge playing buddies.

Shirley’s deep devotion and support of her husband, throughout his life, was the pure expression of her heart. The centerpiece of her being, which she continued to her last breath in the undying love she had for her family.

Private services were held. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on January 21st, 2019 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at North Star Bistro, 4518 N. Oakland Ave., Shorewood. It was her request that donations be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of WI.

My deepest sympathy to you on the loss of your mother, Shirley. She was a remarkable woman and role model for many. My twin sister Sally and I grew up on the WFB side of Sheffield Ave. and we always spoke about the past.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
    Sincerely, Suzy Buchbinder Ettinger
