Passed away peacefully in his home on November 28, 2017, surrounded by family members and caregivers. He was 88 years old. Irving lived a full and extraordinary life. A preeminent art dealer for 51 years, he started Irving Galleries in 1959 in Milwaukee. In 1970, he moved to Palm Beach, Florida with his wife Margaret and opened Irving Galleries on Worth Avenue. They developed an international reputation curating the works of Pablo Picasso, Jean Dubuffet, Roy Lichtenstein, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, Alexander Calder, Larry Rivers, and many other renowned artists.
